Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Alira Aesthetics. These Terms and Conditions apply to your use of our website, your enquiries, bookings, consultations, treatments, gift cards, packages, and any other services or purchases made through or with Alira Aesthetics.

By accessing our website, making an enquiry, booking an appointment, attending a consultation, purchasing a gift card or package, or receiving services from us, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions, together with our Privacy Policy and any treatment-specific consent forms, aftercare instructions, or written policies we provide to you.

If there is any inconsistency between these Terms and Conditions and a treatment-specific consent form or mandatory legal requirement, the treatment-specific consent form or applicable law will prevail to the extent of the inconsistency.

About Alira Aesthetics

Alira Aesthetics is a nurse-led cosmetic and skin clinic operating in Belmore, New South Wales.

Clinic Details

If your legal entity name, ABN, or registered business details are different from the trading name above, those details should be inserted before publication.

Eligibility And Acceptance Of Bookings

You must be at least 18 years old to independently book and consent to treatment with us, unless we choose to consider a request from a person under 18 and all legal, professional, consent, and cooling-off requirements have been fully satisfied.

We do not generally provide elective cosmetic procedures to persons under 18. If any request involving a person under 18 is considered, it will only be considered where legally and professionally permitted, after appropriate consultation, assessment, and mandatory waiting or cooling-off periods where applicable.

A booking request does not guarantee that treatment will be provided. All services remain subject to consultation, clinical assessment, practitioner availability, product availability, prescribing requirements where relevant, and our professional judgment as to whether treatment is suitable, safe, lawful, and appropriate.

We reserve the right to refuse, postpone, modify, or discontinue any booking or treatment where we consider this necessary for safety, regulatory, professional, or operational reasons.

Website Information And Scope Of Services

All content on our website is provided for general information only. It is not personal medical advice, a diagnosis, or a guarantee that any particular treatment is suitable for you.

Information on our website, social media, emails, messages, or general marketing materials is not a substitute for an in-person or practitioner-led consultation. Any decision to proceed with treatment must be based on an individual assessment conducted by an appropriately qualified member of our team and any required prescribing or medical oversight process.

Certain treatments may not have public pricing displayed. Any pricing, guides, or estimates provided before consultation are indicative only and may change following assessment, treatment planning, or regulatory requirements.

Consultations, Clinical Assessment And Practitioner Discretion

Every new client must complete a consultation before treatment. During your consultation, we may assess your medical history, treatment history, facial anatomy, skin condition, treatment goals, lifestyle factors, budget, suitability, contraindications, and any other matters relevant to safe care.

Same-day treatment may be offered in some cases, but only where we determine that it is clinically appropriate, you are medically suitable, any required prescribing or supervision process has been completed, and you have had sufficient opportunity to understand your options and provide informed consent.

We may decline to treat you, or may recommend an alternative treatment plan, if:

  • we believe treatment is not clinically appropriate

  • there are contraindications, safety concerns, or unrealistic expectations

  • you have not provided complete or accurate information

  • you appear unable to provide informed consent

  • you attend while unwell, intoxicated, or otherwise not fit for treatment

  • treatment would fall outside our professional scope, ethical obligations, or legal requirements

Our clinical judgment is final in relation to whether treatment will proceed.

Medical Information And Your Responsibilities

You must provide complete, truthful, and up-to-date information before and during your consultation and treatment. This includes any information relevant to your health, safety, prescribing requirements, healing, and treatment outcomes.

You must tell us about any relevant matters, including where applicable:

  • allergies or previous adverse reactions

  • current or recent medications, supplements, or blood-thinning agents

  • pregnancy, breastfeeding, or trying to conceive

  • infections, skin conditions, wounds, or illness

  • previous cosmetic, dental, skin, or surgical procedures

  • underlying medical conditions or hospitalisations

  • any tendency toward poor healing, scarring, pigmentation issues, or cold sores

  • any recent treatment performed elsewhere

You must also notify us if your medical or personal circumstances change before your appointment.

We are entitled to rely on the information you provide. We are not responsible for issues arising from incomplete, inaccurate, misleading, or omitted information.

Informed Consent

Treatment will only proceed after you have had the opportunity to ask questions, discuss your concerns, understand the proposed treatment, consider alternatives, and provide informed consent.

By proceeding with treatment, you acknowledge that:

  • you understand that all cosmetic and skin treatments involve limitations and risks

  • outcomes vary between individuals

  • no particular aesthetic result can be promised or guaranteed

  • more than one treatment session may be required

  • a consultation does not oblige you to proceed with treatment

  • a booking does not guarantee that a regulated treatment will be prescribed or performed

Where required, you may be asked to sign a separate consent form before treatment. We may also require identity verification, a prescribing review, medical clearance, or additional consultation before certain services are performed.

Booking Fee, Fees And Payments

A $50 booking fee is required to secure an appointment unless we advise otherwise. This booking fee is applied toward the cost of your booked consultation or treatment, as determined at the time of your appointment.

Unless otherwise stated by us in writing:

  • booking fees are required in advance to reserve appointment time

  • prices are listed or quoted in Australian dollars

  • full payment is due on the day of service

  • additional products, services, or follow-up treatment may incur additional fees

  • we may change pricing at any time, but the price quoted or confirmed at the time of booking will generally apply to that appointment unless the treatment plan changes after assessment

If treatment does not proceed after consultation, the booking fee may be retained or applied to the consultation, assessment, reserved appointment time, or administrative costs, except where we are required by law to provide a remedy.

Cancellations, Rescheduling, Late Arrival And Non-Attendance

We require at least 48 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment.

If you cancel or reschedule with less than 48 hours' notice, fail to attend, or are not fit to proceed at the time of your appointment due to circumstances within your control, your booking fee may be forfeited.

If you arrive late, we may shorten your appointment, reschedule your booking, or decline to proceed if there is insufficient time to safely complete the consultation or treatment. In these circumstances, your booking fee may also be forfeited.

Repeated cancellations, repeated late arrivals, repeated non-attendance, or inappropriate behaviour may affect your ability to make future bookings with us.

We may need to cancel or reschedule appointments due to practitioner illness, safety concerns, emergencies, stock or supply issues, prescribing or clinical requirements, technical issues, or circumstances beyond our control. If this occurs, we will make reasonable efforts to contact you and arrange an alternative appointment or other suitable outcome.

Packages, Promotions And Gift Cards

Any treatment package, promotional offer, or gift card is subject to these Terms and Conditions as well as any specific conditions disclosed at the time of purchase.

Unless we state otherwise in writing:

  • packages are non-transferable and must be used by the named client

  • packages cannot be shared between multiple people

  • gift cards are not redeemable for cash

  • expired promotions or introductory offers cannot be backdated or extended

  • promotions cannot be combined unless expressly stated

  • unused portions of packages or gift cards are not refundable for change of mind

We reserve the right to amend, withdraw, or refuse promotions, packages, and special offers where reasonably necessary.

Refunds And Australian Consumer Law

We do not provide refunds for change of mind, delayed satisfaction, or dissatisfaction where services have been properly supplied and the outcome falls within the normal range of treatment variability, healing response, and expected limitations explained during consultation and consent.

Booking fees are generally non-refundable except where required by law.

Packages, gift cards, and prepaid services are generally non-refundable and non-transferable except where required by law.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes, restricts, or modifies any rights or remedies you may have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted, or modified.

If a service supplied by us fails to meet a consumer guarantee that applies under law, you may be entitled to a remedy in accordance with your legal rights.

Treatment Outcomes, Risks And Limitations

Cosmetic and skin treatments are individualised services. Results vary depending on your anatomy, skin quality, age, medical history, metabolism, healing response, treatment history, aftercare compliance, and other personal factors.

You acknowledge that:

  • treatment outcomes are not guaranteed

  • results may take time to appear or settle

  • some treatments may require staged sessions or maintenance

  • swelling, bruising, tenderness, redness, asymmetry, uneven response, delayed healing, infection, allergic reaction, pigmentation changes, or other known or unknown complications may occur depending on the treatment

  • review appointments, further treatment, correction, or referral may sometimes be necessary

Any photographs, examples, before-and-after images, testimonials, or general descriptions are illustrative only and do not guarantee that you will achieve the same or similar result.

Review Appointments, Follow-Up And Adverse Events

We may recommend or require a follow-up or review appointment depending on the treatment performed. A review appointment is for clinical assessment and does not guarantee free additional treatment unless we expressly state this in writing.

If you have any concern after treatment, you should contact us as soon as possible so that we can advise you appropriately.

If you experience severe pain, marked blanching, significant swelling, difficulty breathing, signs of infection, visual disturbance, rapidly worsening symptoms, or any other urgent or concerning reaction, you should seek urgent medical care immediately. In an emergency, call 000.

We are not responsible for delay, worsening, or avoidable complications where you fail to promptly follow instructions, contact us, or obtain urgent care when needed.

Aftercare Obligations

You agree to follow all verbal, written, and digital aftercare instructions provided to you. Failure to follow aftercare may affect your comfort, healing, treatment longevity, and final result.

You must not assume that aftercare for one treatment applies to another treatment. If you are unsure about any instruction, you must ask us for clarification.

If we request photographs, updates, or a follow-up assessment after treatment, you agree to cooperate reasonably so we can monitor your progress and advise you appropriately.

Photography, Clinical Records And Use Of Images

For clinical, safety, assessment, documentation, quality assurance, and medico-legal purposes, we may take treatment-related photographs, videos, or other records before, during, or after your consultation or treatment.

These clinical records form part of your health record and may be used internally for treatment planning, review, practitioner communication, medical oversight, and legal or regulatory compliance.

We will not use your identifiable photographs, videos, testimonials, or treatment outcomes for marketing, website, social media, or promotional purposes without your express consent.

If you provide marketing consent and later withdraw it, we will stop future use of your content within a reasonable time after receiving your written request. However, withdrawal will not necessarily apply to materials already printed, published, scheduled, or distributed where removal is not reasonably practicable.

We retain records for the period required by applicable law and professional obligations. We may also retain records for longer where reasonably necessary for legal, insurance, complaints, safety, or continuity-of-care purposes.

Client Conduct And Safety

We are committed to maintaining a safe, respectful, and professional environment for clients and staff.

We may refuse service, ask you to leave, or cancel future appointments if you engage in behaviour that is abusive, threatening, discriminatory, aggressive, inappropriate, unsafe, or disruptive.

You are responsible for your own belongings while attending the clinic. To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for loss of or damage to personal items brought to the clinic.

Our website or communications may include links to third-party websites, booking systems, payment providers, or service platforms. We are not responsible for the content, availability, privacy practices, or terms of those third parties.

  • we are not liable for issues caused or contributed to by your failure to provide accurate information, follow instructions, attend reviews, seek prompt care, or disclose relevant medical history

  • we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss, including disappointment, emotional distress not caused by our breach of law, or loss of opportunity

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions is intended to exclude liability that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law, health privacy law, or any other applicable legislation.

Please provide enough detail for us to identify your record and understand the concern, including your full name, contact details, appointment date, and a summary of the issue.

We may request photographs, relevant documents, or a review appointment where this is reasonably necessary to assess your concern.

The most current version will be published on our website. By continuing to use our website or services after updated terms are published, you agree to the revised version.
